PRESIDENT

I started Moore & Associates with a desire to make a difference in the lives of others. I believe we do that, in part, by helping client organizations to identify, assess and hire the best possible talent for each and every position on their management team. People in healthcare touch the lives of countless individuals at a moment when they, or a loved one, are in a difficult situation. Knowing that what we do helps another human being in a time of need is, frankly, a blessing.

This was an unlikely career for me. You see, when I was 16 years old, my mother was diagnosed with metastases breast cancer and given 6 months to live. This news was quite a shock to me and my three sisters. Mom survived for three years, spending much of that time in and out of hospitals. When she finally passed away, I swore I would never go back into another hospital. It is strange, sometimes, how life works out.

Now, it is a different story. Hospitals and Healthcare Systems are where I make my living. During the course of all of these years I have been in literally hundreds of Hospitals all across this great country. I have met people who bring a sense of compassion and caring to what they do for others and it never ceases to inspire me. I have been doing this for almost two decades and even so, every morning when I wake up, I cannot wait to see what the day will bring.

My other great passions in life are my wife, Cynthia, and our three children, all grown and married with families of their own. This brings me to my grandchildren, a total of 11 now, to whom I am known as ‘Papa’. That number, as my wife likes to put it, was achieved through nature, merger and acquisition (it’s a long story). And last, but not least, yacht racing. My sanctuary, quite frankly, is on the deck of a racing sailboat. I have been doing that for over 30 years. I started out at first as crew, a bowman, and eventually competed in the 2005 Trans Pacific Yacht Race, finishing third in our class. Today I Skipper my own boat, a 35 footer by the name of ‘Kestrel’. I love my time on the water out where a person can witness the presence of something greater than themselves.

CYNTHIA CANTU

Cynthia spent almost 20 working in education before transitioning to the recruitment field. As a principle and co-founder of Moore & Associates she concentrates on Human Resources and Payroll for the firm while consulting in recruitment. She has successfully placed many managers, directors and C-Suite candidates in her 12 years with Moore & Associates. Cynthia is an integral part of the leadership team helping to grow the organization while taking care of the personnel within the firm.

Cynthia is married with three children and 11 grandchildren which precludes her ever thinking about retirement. She said, “I have found great joy in helping to change the lives of candidates and affect the quality of healthcare organizations.”

PDP ADMINISTRATOR / OPERATIONS MANAGER

Amber joined the organization in 2015, after spending time in the financial sector.  In 2017 she became certified as an Administrator through Professional DynaMetric Programs, and began consulting clients using this renowned management system.  PDP offers clients and candidates profound insights into their own, as well as their team members’, behaviors and provides tools to maximize human capital by creating more efficient, productive teams.

Amber also oversees recruitment efforts and client relations for executive search projects.  Her responsibilities include bookkeeping and all other administrative functions.

Amber is single mother to six children and spends her free time trying to balance the needs of her demanding family.  She enjoys karaoke, movies, and sleep.
